Seems something broke both this package, and the stumpwm in extra repo at the same time. I can reproduce your behaviour (and several others on the forums) on a fresh install. Compiling stumpwm from git manually, seems to solve the problem.

I will try to figure out what is going on, and update the package with working build.

In the meantime you should downgrade to 22.11.

23.11 doesn't work for me and I have to revert to 22.11. With 23 all compiles and starts, but none of my keys work. However, if I put an application in my xinitrc that will start and the mouse will work on menus, but none of my keyboard controls function and the application only opens to half the screen size. None of this happens with 22. I don't really think this is a bug with the package as much as something weird on my system interacting with some change in stumpwm. Mostly writing here in case anyone runs into the same weird behavior. Would report a bug if I could figure a concise way to say what the bug is.

A bug in sbcl 2.17 breaks StumpWM. It's recommended you stay with sbcl 2.16 or lower.

Please remove the optional dependency on clx-truetype, it cannot be built since its sources don't exist any more and therefore has been removed from the AUR.
