It would also be best to rename ttf-crosextra to ttf-crosextra-meta, to follow the established pattern for metapackages, and make the nature of this PKGBUILD obvious even via its name.

Also please remove the unneeded and also misleading fontconfig dependency.

Hi,

Please kindly start the pkgdesc with something like [Metapackage] or [Meta-PKG], to disambiguate this from actual font packages.

Thank you in advance.

I just removed xorg-font-utils from the depends, hopefully that works fine for all now.

I would like to second the suggestion from @gee to remove xorg-font-utils as a dependency.

I just tried building the package after removing "xorg-font-utils" from the PKGBUILD file (and xorg-font-utils and associated packages e.g. xorg-font-util from my system) and it worked fine.

Not sure what other tests I should or could perform, but this quick simple test seems to show that this package does not depend (any more) on xorg-font-utils.

Hello,

xorg-font-utils is now gone, I think you should update the package.

Thank you!

@ArchangeGabriel merge request sent.

@ArchangeGabriel, thanks for the advance. I upgraded the package accordingly. I'm now gonna rename this package to ttf-crosextra (publish a new one and ask for merging).

Note that ttf-chromeos-fonts is to be replaced by ttf-croscore.

wget commented on 2017-08-25 21:00 (UTC)

Package updated. It now relies on existing packages present in other repositories. As a consequence this package is not a split package, but rather a dummy package gathering all the chrome os fonts under the same umbrella.
