I guess it makes sense to use the date on which it was supposedly created as version:

1991-08-18

The package requires mkfontdir/mkfontscale which are only available if you run Xorg. If you use Wayland, you don't need this program, nor it's necessary to call it.

Also, Pacman automatically refreshes the fontconfig caches:

Please fix your source array, to avoid storing the file as ?f=good_city_modern:

==> Retrieving sources...
  -> Found ?f=good_city_modern
==> Validating source files with md5sums...
    ?f=good_city_modern ... Passed
==> Removing existing $srcdir/ directory...
==> Extracting sources...
  -> Extracting ?f=good_city_modern with bsdtar

Also, please switch to a cryptographically secure hash algorithm, like b2.

package() asks for user intervention:

==> Starting package()...
Archive:  ?f=good_city_modern
replace gocmp___.ttf? [y]es, [n]o, [A]ll, [N]one, [r]ename: y
  inflating: gocmp___.ttf

Please check & make it clean.

Thanks for maintaining!
