@bertptrs Okay fair enough. It's definitely taking too high priority for me (ahead of things I have like Symbola, Noto, and Emoji fonts that usually catch most code points) so I'll play around with convincing it to take a back seat. At least in my case it should be exceedingly rare to actually have a glyph from this font turn up of my screen, but right now I'm seeing them like it's the late '90s and tofu...

@caleb it works for me as a last resort, but that could be a coincedence. I am also not exactly an expert in fontconfig (is anyone?) but if you have a fontconfig file that makes it the actual last resort, I'd be happy to add it.

Having this package around is great, but it's not doing its intended job. It's not being used as a last resort, it's actually getting used as a first-result! Whenever the preferred font doesn't have a glyph I'm seeing the lastresort glyph instead of falling back to any of the sometimes dozens of fonts I have that would support the character.
Is it possible to include a fontconfig setup file that actually specifies this should be at the bottom of the fallback stack?

This font project has a new (and open-source) home, and releases are here: https://github.com/unicode-org/last-resort-font/releases. Additionally the version numbering is following OpenFV format (XXX.YYY) with the major following Unicode releases and (presumably) the minor incrementing in between. The current version is 13.000.
If you don't feel like updating it feel free to add me as a co-maintainer.
