I have trouble installing that package.

lib/install-static: 12: [: --rpm: unexpected operator

...

@Roken: send it as a patch and I'll default the patch off. Users can enable it if they want it.

The download location has been changed. The following two lines need to be updated.

source_i686=("http://www.turboprint.info/tp2/${_srcdir}.i586.tgz")
source_x86_64=("http://www.turboprint.info/tp2/${_srcdir}.x86_64.tgz")

to:

source_i686=("http://www.zedonet.com/download/tp2/${_srcdir}.i586.tgz")
source_x86_64=("http://www.zedonet.com/download/tp2/${_srcdir}.x86_64.tgz")

tpapplet.py is badly broken. I've been through and fixed if you want the fixed version. I'm not so sure if I can post without violating the license.

2.53-1 is available now. Just update the version in the PKGBUILD and updpkgsums and it builds just fine.

The Zedonet ftp server no longer accepts connections. (According to Zedonet forums, it's been turned off, however the ftp server is still running, but asks for login details, which no customer has.) If anyone needs to download older versions, use the Zedonet archive at https://zedonet.com/ftp/tp2/ instead.

Installing the package doesn't automatically install desktop widgets. Running /usr/share/turboprint/lib/install-post as root installs the widget, but I'm not sure if this is safe. For example, this script copies an init script to /etc/init.d (a file, not a directory.)

Important note: before upgrading to this package, make sure any AUR helper you use does save earlier versions in /var/cache/pacman/pkg. Otherwise, if the period covered by your license key for upgrades has expired, this package will not work. In which case you may find earlier versions of turboprint here: ftp://ftp.zedonet.com/tp2
