Please add userspace-tablet-driver-daemon to the provides array (you have added a variant with _, not -).

In addition to the last comment, please remove sudo from this line as this is a security risk. Instead, let the user handle that and/or leave a message in post_{install,upgrade}

ustdd.install messes with config files and irreversibly deletes some, where a user might have custom settings. DO NOT DO THAT, instead just print information.

Currently, the following needs to be removed/ changed:

post_remove() {
    # remove udev rules

    rm -rf /etc/udev/rules.d/70-huion.rules
    rm -rf /etc/udev/rules.d/70-uinput-plugdev.rules
    rm -rf /etc/udev/rules.d/70-xp-pen.rules

    # remove xorg conf

    rm -rf /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/60-huion.conf
    rm -rf /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/60-xp-pen.conf
}

Regards!

Please change userspace_tablet_driver_daemon to userspace-tablet-driver-daemon (i.e. _ to -) in the provides entry. Or add userspace-tablet-driver-daemon, if the variant with _ is also needed to be present there.

Thanks for maintaining!

@zetagabriels the prepare function is unneeded as the version is checked and synced with remote on every run of makepkg

<deleted-account> commented on 2022-05-06 05:11 (UTC)

@silverhikari the intention of the prepare() function is to make the local repository up-to-date with the remote repository.

@zetagabriels it seems this was a mistake on my part as looking again at the pkgbuild you do have pkgver() which i mistakenly called version(), i am used to seeing it above prepare and not after. though i have to ask what is the reason for the prepare function as the package seems to build fine without it?

@silverhikari thank you for letting me know. i looked at other -git packages on the AUR, but i couldn't find any that use the version() function. could you point me to a resource that has more information on it?

hey i wanted to inform you that how this package updates the version does not seem to work correctly, as there shgould be a version() function as without it the package will continue to update to a newer version as the version listed by the installed version does not equal the version listed as the package version on the aur
