can you add in the pkgbuild:

options=('!strip' 'debug')

and in the line qmake-qt5, add CONFIG+=debug

yes, the pkgbuild bails to install, but go to the build folder, and run

gdb ./vsedit-debug-64bit-gcc

and type run and when the segfault occur, type bt and posted the output here?

Sadly your update don't solve the crash problem.

if i type vsedit in terminal then just this happens:

i can confirm the segfault, but is not problem by vsedit
