softwarebakery.com is gone, package needs an update.

The 0.5.1-1 version just pushed has a command line option for disabling notifications, so --enable-notify remains.

Please don't include the Compile-time configuration --enable-notify in future updates https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=199850

I'm maintaining a GTK2 branch of the Git version here, for what it's worth: https://github.com/jlindgren90/volumeicon-gtk2

Hi ngaba, It works for me. If you read the PKGBUILD you will find a note like: # TODO: Consider adding an install-time message about # removing ~/.config/volumeicon/volumeicon if there are # problems running volumeicon. Ref FS#34239 So that could be the problem in your case.

I get a segfault when trying to start it (however, the gtk3 version from community repo works fine): $ volumeicon ALSA lib control.c:953:(snd_ctl_open_noupdate) Invalid CTL HDA Intel MID volumeicon: alsa_backend.c:92: asound_get_volume: Assertion `m_elem != ((void *)0)' failed. Aborted (core dumped)

I requested that the package be orphaned so I can fix it.

The below patch seems to be bugged: 1. When left-click is set to slider, left-clicking again mutes the volume (works in gtk3) 2. There is no "Default" dialog, just like in earlier versions (works in gtk3)
