You mean rebuild-detector?

@gattino thank you for checkrebuild -v I wish there would be an easy hooks package as well but it seems I need to a add it as a pacman hook by hand.

@MartinX3 thank you so much for your help I have rebuild Vorta and the problem was solved! I also launched rebuild-detector (checkrebuild -v) discovering that many other packages had broken (for example Protonvpn that as Vorta no longer starts): I have rebuild them all and everything has returned to work

@gattino new python version -> vorta rebuild needed

Yesterday I made the usual update (sudo pacman -Syu) and since then he wishes it no longer works. I don't start and give me back this error:

[gattino@cryptux ~]$ vorta
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/bin/vorta", line 5, in <module>
    from vorta.__main__ import main
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'vorta'

Any advice on how to solve the problem? Thank you

When installing this there is no icon in the application launcher on KDE Plasma. The icon for the desktop file is missing from "/usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/apps/".

Can you please add this to the pkgbuild?

Comparing the pkgbuild to the flatpak manifest it should be:

install -Dm644 src/vorta/assets/icons/icon.svg "$pkgdir/usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/apps/com.borgbase.Vorta.svg"

I don not have a window border or shadow around the vorta window on GNOME. I reported this upstream.

I figured out what the problem was. I had to install an older python version for another software. After changing back to the current one vorta works fine. I fixed also the problem with the other software. Now I don't have to change python versions any more.

@DrMartinus: This is weird. I could not reproduce your error on fresh minimal vm. Could you try reinstalling anew (maybe manually, download the PKGBUILD and build the package) and see if the error is still there?

I get the following error (using Manjaro):

File "/usr/bin/vorta", line 5, in <module from vorta.main import main ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'vorta'

It's odd that vorta misses the module vorta. I installed vorta using yay. What can I do? Addition: I noticed that I had to update a number of packages, including vorta. So I did that. After the update, vorta started just fine. Then, I did a restart of the PC, since many packages had been upgraded, and after it was ready, vorta won't start, giving me again the above error. I wonder if this has to do with a python version problem. I use another software (bluefish) which just doesn't start withany python later than 3.10, so I downgrade the current version back to 3.10. If vorta relies on 3.11, is there a way to have both at the same time?
