The PKGBUILD was updated according to @frazar0 suggestion. It works for me, so I hope it does for you guys too.

I found that the compilation error is due to the "configure" script wrongly detecting system configuration when Link-Time Optimization is enabled. See a possible patch in the PKGBUILD of the sibling package wkgtk2.8.

Fails to build because it can't find thread.h

./src/unix/threadpsx.cpp:51:14: fatal error: thread.h: No such file or directory
   51 |     #include <thread.h>
      |              ^~~~~~~~~~
compilation terminated.

pkgfile indicate a consistent number of thread.h providers (about 30)

Changelog for 2.8.12.1-11:

  • Set fixed CXX ABI version, so Safesign's TokenAdmin doesn't warn about wrong ABI

Now this package can not build, need to add wxGTK-2.8.12.1-r2-gcc6.patch from non-light edition of this package.
