I get this error when building the package with with yay: ==> Starting check()... linux/x-tile-git.desktop: file does not exist ==> ERROR: A failure occurred in check(). Aborting...

He just migrated the project to Python 3 and gconf is no longer needed. See my updated PKGBUILD.

pygtk is no longer needed, see the latest commit

They now should be:

depends=('gconf' 'libappindicator-gtk3' 'python2-gobject')
makedepends=('git')

Whoops, I was wrong about it requiring python2-distutils-extra.

This no longer requires python2-gconf and should be replaced by pygtk. It also requires 'python2-libappindicator` for the tray icon.

The shebang in setup.py should be changed to python2, see the x-tile PKGBUILD.
