I had the same problem as macario and krazedkrish, keyboard not working on remote host (form Arch to Ubuntu), using -Y option for SSH instead of -X (as stated in the link given by Jashandeep-Sohi: https://github.com/dottedmag/x2x/issues/9) fixed the problem. Short answer to fix keyboard problems use "ssh -YC <host> x2x -east -to :0.0" instead of "ssh -XC <host> x2x -east -to :0.0"

i'll be happy to take over this package if you don't feel like updating it. thanks!

the package version is not generated according to official guidelines: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/VCS_package_guidelines namely the missing "r" in front of revision number (which is currently the sole identifier). i also recomment adding the serial number (see the last example) as it's then being sorted better.

@krazedkrish & macario: Platform must be `arch=('i686' 'x86_64')` in the PKGBUILD because we must build the x2x binary on each system. `arch=('any')` only works when you have scripts (e.g. Python, Perl) that are platform independent. Hope that clarifies the purpose of the `arch` variable. As for your problem, it seems to be an upstream problem. See, this <https://github.com/dottedmag/x2x/issues/9>. I'm not sure if there is a fix, but if you find one, please do let us know. The problem with x2x is it's getting old and updates are far and few in between. With the upcoming switch to wayland, I fear the problems are only going to increase. I'm thinking about starting a new project that does much of the same thing as x2x, but using GDK as a higher level abstraction to interact with the display server.

I am using x64 arch, mouse is working but keyboard is not. May be the problem is same as that of @macario's.

Should add autoconf and automake packages to makedepends.

bkuri commented on 2014-05-14 12:11 (UTC)

extra/libxtst should be added as a dependency IMHO.

https://github.com/barak/x2x seems to currently be the most recent repository: https://github.com/dottedmag/x2x/network

I could build package in Raspberry Pi, mouse is working but keyboard is not. Maybe platform should be any.
