Hi @jskier! Thanks!

Hi @NewManjaroUser, I am still using it, didn't notice this initial, but I see. It looks like network shares and favorites are still there, but not external drives. Thank you for mentioning this.

I looked into it, and can replicate it. I'll see if I can work on a patch. In the meantime, I also added to the still open issue from before, https://gitlab.xfce.org/panel-plugins/xfce4-places-plugin/-/issues/20 about the hardware devices not showing up.

After the latest Manjaro update, xfce4-places-plugin doesn't show auto-mounted drives anymore (like HDDs, SSDs). I found out, that updating glib2 from 2.70.4-2 to 2.72.0-1 causes this problem. I really like this plugin. Is there a way to fix this issue? As a temporary fix, I blacklisted glib2 from updating.

@Npa, likely because it isn't updated much upstream. I believe it was in extra at one point in the past.

I'll see how it works in the next major release of xfce4. I agree, it's a nice plugin.

I also noticed an automounted drive not appearing in the places-plugin (but if it was unmounted it appeared). But as of the last few days, it has started appearing again for me. Not sure what changed, but it seems fixed.

I'm seeing it on my desktop now, I'll look into the mount patch and probably put in a bug report upstream sometime next week.
