This latest change to this package still works in x86_64 but now fails in arm64 builds. I get a lot of missing dependencies even when using yay to install.

Wait, this was a pacman.conf problem. Community Repos was missing. Added it back. Sorry for the noise.

There are a number of missing dependencies needed to "fully" build xmltv, specifically all of the grabbers. It depends which grabbers you want, so they could probably be considered "optional" but in that case, there are already many optional deps in the depends section. Maybe a split package? It could get messy...

The README.md doesn't document all of the dependencies, the Makefile.PL can be referenced.

These deps are needed for the tv_grab_zz_sdjson_sqlite grabber: 'perl-datetime-format-iso8601' 'perl-datetime-format-sqlite' 'perl-dbd-sqlite' 'perl-dbi' 'perl-file-homedir' 'perl-file-which' 'perl-html-entities' 'perl-list-moreutils' 'perl-lwp-protocol-https' 'perl-lwp-useragent-determined'

I didn't test these but additional deps for tv_grab_it_dvb: perl-data-dump perl-html-entities perl-html-parser perl-linux-dvb perl-io-select perl-uri-escape Note that perl-linux-dvd isn't in repos or AUR, link to project: https://metacpan.org/release/Linux-DVB

and for tv_grab_pt_vodafone: perl-uri-encode

I built xmltv from https://github.com/XMLTV/xmltv following the README instructions and it works fine.

OK, after getting a report about this package over at mythtv I had a look at the test failures reported here.

This seems to be an upstream issue that has since been fixed, but no new release has so far been made. In order to build this package successfully, you need to build directly from git. I can make a -git version of this package available, if there is a need - but I think it would be better if this package could get updated to git temporarily, until a new release is out.

I'm getting the same problem. My mythtv schedule runs out April 7th. Hopefully it's fixed by then.
