Since this installs a pre-built binary this package should be renamed to xperia-flashtool-bin (i.e. with the -bin suffix). (And when doing so, provides=("xperia-flashtool=${pkgver}"), conflicts=("xperia-flashtool") to be added.)

So folks there again: Changed the program according to the upstream changes of the provided binary Linux package, more dependencies added; a new GUI launching desktop icon created. Enjoy !

seems the dev is doing strange or a least unusual things on github.. looks like he changed the filename for the already existing 0.9.36 release on 24th of Dec. the filename requires a change in PKGBUILD due to that:
