Isn't asciidoc just a makedepends? As I understand the makefile, it just converts the asciidoc file into a man-page. After that there is no need for a2x anymore?

Dependency on asciidoc should be added. Otherwise fails to build.

It should already; does "makepkg -i" work? If so blame your AUR helper?

Could you make this so that reinstalling this pulls the latest code from github ?
