If the check fails there is little I can do about it as it most likely needs to be fixed upstream, in such cases report those upstream (maybe wait a day or two as sometimes it's quickly solved upstream) or skip the check with makepkg --nocheck if you don't care about the functionality that is being reported as failing in the check.

Please take /usr/share/doc and NOT /usr/doc. Thanks Roman Volák

try now, the test where failing if you didn't have freecad already installed, it should work now

Having an issue with trying to install this package. It looks like it is going back to a file not found error for /usr/share/freecad/Mod/Arch/Presets/ifc_contexts_IFC4.json but I am not sure where this is intended to be coming from. Is someone able to assist me with what is going on?

Latest fails during the test phase, apparently in the FEM module tests.

About the patch provided by hl037, it is no longer required, that problem got solved within a day upstream IIRC

@Kunda do you know if calculix needs to be present at compile time? eitherway I think I will add it to opt-depends only since it's not required for those not doing FEM

@adrianinsaval the AUR Calculix package has been split in to calculix-ccx and calculix-cgx.

Can we add the calculix-ccx to this package then ?

@hl037 is that patch still necessary in latest HEAD? Looks like that include is in an ifndef block now:

#include "PreCompiled.h"
#ifndef _PreComp_
# include <memory>
# include <Standard_Failure.hxx>
#endif

#include <Base/VectorPy.h>

#include "GeomPlate/PointConstraintPy.h"
#include "GeomPlate/PointConstraintPy.cpp"

hl037 commented on 2022-07-10 16:29 (UTC)

this patch does the trick :

--- FreeCAD/src/Mod/Part/App/GeomPlate/PointConstraintPyImp.o.cpp   2022-07-10 15:00:37.506344945 +0200
+++ FreeCAD/src/Mod/Part/App/GeomPlate/PointConstraintPyImp.cpp 2022-07-10 15:00:54.718179043 +0200
@@ -29,6 +29,7 @@

 #include "GeomPlate/PointConstraintPy.h"
 #include "GeomPlate/PointConstraintPy.cpp"
+#include <memory>

 using namespace Part;

Change the prepare to this :

prepare() {
  cd FreeCAD
  cd ${srcdir}
  patch --forward -p0 --input=patch
}
