For the people with the error#901 try restarting after install and reset the configurations in the astrill GUI. Worked for me. Also run astrill as root once on fresh install. I am not sure how many people are facing issues with astrill. But mine is that udp seems to not work properly and tcp does in astrill. It seems to work fine on my laptop but not desktop for some reason. I am in contact with Astrill support but their tech support aren't too technical. I'll post back if I figure it out.

I tried again, downloading through the mirrors UK and US, but both failed, leading to error #901. Are you familiar with the new AUR concept, I try to switch from yaourt to powerpill and bauerbill. These wrappers are looking for a git under https://aur.archlinux.org/astrill.git which is not existing...

The package that is from the astrill website is broken, Will have to revert it to the 2.9.3 version, I have emailed astrill support re: this issue but have not received a response.

latest update: In Germany it worked for a few minutes like a charm, that's why I wrote my last euphoric comment. Now I'm back in China, login has a "connection time out", later my old friend Astrill Error #901: Your Astrill Installation is damaged. Please download Installer from https://www.astrill.com and reinstall the program. appears again. I just want to cry!

Good news! I'd just like to tell you, if you alter the PKGBUILD with these changes, the installation works: I changed "url", "source", x86_64's "rpmpkg" and "md5sums". Don't forget to run sudo /usr/local/Astrill/astrill after installation! Hey guys ! Sorry for the long delay in response, Been super busy with work. I am taking a look at this and it seems the package that astrill themselved is providing is broken. I am testing out various different methods and will update ASAP!

Dear maintainers! Since a while I have that problem: Astrill Error #901: Your Astrill Installation is damaged. Please download Installer from https://www.astrill.com and reinstall the program. Asking Astrill Support team I recentlöy got that answer: =============================================================================== Hi tellmi, Does your system modify binaries in any way ? For example it strips binaries during installation ? We check if our software is modified and prevent it to run. It can be modified by a virus for example. Best regards, Astrill Development =============================================================================== So I'm forwarding this question to you, but after checking PCKGBUILD I guess, it's only unzipping the downloaded RPM and rezipping to an Arch Package. There's high unlikely a virus responsible. Did you ever meet that error and do you have an idea, how to solve that? kind regards tellmi

you have to run sudo /usr/local/Astrill/astrill first and exit. Afterwards you should be able to start it as a normal user. But I still have "Error#901". Does anyone have an idea?
