The PKGBUILD file doesn't have a package() function, so when it's installed it results in an empty Arch package. I had to write my own to make it work. Here it is: package() { cd $srcdir/${pkgname}-0.0.8-rc2 make install DESTDIR=$pkgdir || return 1 make installconf DESTDIR=$pkgdir || return 1 }

Please change the configure line to read: ./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc --localstatedir=/var || return 1
