@remcycles, @gox, thank you so much, guys! xorg-fonts-misc did the job, therefore I updated the package. A reboot will be necessary in case that packages had to be installed with it.

Sorry for this other post, but I forgot to mention that I’m running the standard Gnome version of Manjaro.

Hi everyone, First of all, thanks for your tremendous work – baudline has always worked like a charm for years. However I’m facing an error on latest Manjaro release :

could not open 10x20 font
could not open 5x7 font
X Error of failed request: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter)
Major opcode of failed request: 3 (X_GetWindowAttributes)
Resource id in failed request: 0x0
Serial number of failed request: 500
Current serial number in output stream: 501

Any idea of what went wrong and what can I do to be able to use it again ? All the best,

After today's update, including gnome-shell, baudline works again.

Since recently when starting baudline my gnome (gnome-shell) crashes.

pacman added support for architecture specific things with pacman 4.4 (IIRC). This would simplify the download stuff a bit. See the diff: https://gist.github.com/Narrat/852677c5e892a9c7238b Also those || return 1 statements can be removed

The xorg-fonts-100dpi and xorg-fonts-75dpi dependencies don't seem to be needed. Baudline works fine without them. But installing them breaks default fonts for some websites (and uses the ugly x11 fonts if they are installed.

Using a PKGBUILD without a package() function is deprecated.

This is how you can record using PulseAudio: parec --format=s16le --channels=1 --latency-msec=5 | baudline -stdin

hollunder commented on 2011-12-27 16:14 (UTC)

Works now, thanks.

reztho commented on 2011-12-26 15:47 (UTC)

You are right, hollunder. Thanks. It's fixed. The first time I made the PKGBUILD, I thought the executable file would need to have the palette dir in the same dir, but it isn't. I think I didn't read the README that day. Sorry.
