You could synchronize the packet with the branch "develop" instead of "master". Follow my suggestion, look for lines 19 and 31: https://gist.github.com/3919759 Apply the package also bbswitch-git.

The wikipage on bumblebee says to load the module on boot. "MODULES=(... bbswitch ...)" Is this necessary for the dkms version? If so what conf file does one do this? Cheers

Well why? We have plenty of git version of packages that have stable releases. Why shouldn't this one also have that?

@Svenstaro: could you delete this package? since I already added a stable one: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=55798 Seems more suitable a stable package for dkms.
