Building 2.8 with newer Python versions requires this patch to its build script:

Indeed, thank you. Soon I'll update the package.

Looks like a new release was issued (2.8):

And there is a 'boswars-2.8' git tag now.

My mistake, I apologize. I was wrong to have flagged this OOD, as there hasn't been a new release. I wasn't looking closely and thought this was the git package.

Guys, please create a boswars-git package. As soon there is a new release, I'll update this package. But no sooner, sorry.

Thanks for the FYI @dumblob. I see on Codeberg that at least one of the devs is the an original Boswars maintainer (unless it's somebody only using feb's username). If that's the case, this package should be updated to use the codeberg repo. I'll flag it OOD.

Bos Wars development seems resurrecting after it has been moved to git on Codeberg ( ).

Feel free to follow what is happening there :-)

Good catch, thank you! I included it in pkgrel 5. I just wonder why this folder has never been included by the previous maintainers, considering it has been updated to 2.7 a year ago[1] and nobody ever complained... :) [1]:

It segfaults on some maps. PKGBUILD fix: - cp -r campaigns doc graphics intro maps scripts sounds units "$pkgdir"/opt/bos + cp -r campaigns doc graphics intro maps patches scripts sounds units "$pkgdir"/opt/bos

Adopted and fixed the dependencies. The png files are fixed in the prepare() function.
