Clean build fails:

CMake Error at CMakeLists.txt:15 (find_package):
By not providing "FindBreeze.cmake" in CMAKE_MODULE_PATH this project has
asked CMake to find a package configuration file provided by "Breeze", but
 CMake did not find one.

Could not find a package configuration file provided by "Breeze" (requested
version 5.14.90) with any of the following names:

BreezeConfig.cmake
breeze-config.cmake

Add the installation prefix of "Breeze" to CMAKE_PREFIX_PATH or set
"Breeze_DIR" to a directory containing one of the above files. If "Breeze"
provides a separate development package or SDK, be sure it has been
installed.

pls remove unnecessary space symbol here conflicts=('gtk-theme-breezy-gtk3' 'gtk-theme-breezy-gtk2' ' gtk-theme-breezy')

because new pacman crashes on it :: failed to verify integrity or prepare gnome-breeze-git package

This package should have `groups=('plasma')` added to it.

make dependency gtk3 is missing. Error I get in a clean chroot: -- Checking for module 'gtk+-3.0' -- No package 'gtk+-3.0' found CMake Error at /usr/share/cmake-3.7/Modules/FindPkgConfig.cmake:415 (message): A required package was not found after adding gtk3 to makedepend it builds fine.

EDIT: i think you need learn first how work [AUR] with GIT (or any VCS) packages greetings

JonnyRobbie commented on 2016-10-23 15:03 (UTC)

Is there a reason why the version number jumps illogically up and down? It used to be 5.8.xx.xx, now it is 5.6.90.xx. Why is it not consistently increasing? It completely screws up with automatic updates.

Good fix for GTK apps in KDE, thanks!

Martchus commented on 2016-05-17 20:48 (UTC) (edited on 2016-05-17 21:12 (UTC) by Martchus)

They finally merged the color effects branch so a few things might need to be adjusted. I'll look into it. It would also make sense to include the render script for color customization. EDIT: Updated the package to include assets. I'm not sure how to include the script exactly. Maybe a small wrapper under /usr/bin and the actual scripts/assets/schemes under /usr/share/gnome-breeze.

FadeMind commented on 2016-05-17 15:34 (UTC)

Package should handle install assets directory too. Otherwise Menu entries are not highlighted.

dos1: Thanks for adding me as co-mainteiner. When the changes "announced" under the last pull request (https://github.com/dirruk1/gnome-breeze/pull/57#issuecomment-210539075) are implemented, we likely have to update the PKGBUILD again. However, this is going to take a while.

dos1 commented on 2016-04-27 17:52 (UTC)

Updated, thanks!

ceri commented on 2016-04-27 13:12 (UTC)

I flagged the pkg out of date. Hopefully the maintainer takes notice.

hcartiaux commented on 2016-04-27 09:18 (UTC)

@Martchus, I suggest to mail the maintainers and submit an orphan request if it's not updated in 2 weeks... This package is now required for the gtk integration in kde/plasma environments...

Martchus commented on 2016-04-26 16:46 (UTC)

That's the reason why I tweaked the PKGBUILD. It has also the advantage, that only the latest GTK+ 3 version (which should be the most appropriate for Arch users) is installed (and not old versions like the GTK+ 3.18 version). dos1, TheNumb: You might review and add my changes.

ceri commented on 2016-04-15 22:43 (UTC)

If the pkgbuild isn't updated as per the post below, the themes won't show under the gtk3 selector in KDE options.

Martchus commented on 2016-04-15 13:56 (UTC)

The merge means that now both versions are present. I updated my version of this so only the latest version of the GTK 3 theme will be installed: https://github.com/Martchus/PKGBUILDs/blob/master/gnome-breeze/git/PKGBUILD

Psykar commented on 2016-04-15 00:27 (UTC)

It's just been merged in, so no need to update PKGBUILD.

Rhinoceros commented on 2016-04-14 04:52 (UTC)

Thanks for the PKGBUILD, @Martchus. I'd even go so far as to include this in the normal PKGBUILD by default. I'd think that it'd be expected that people pacman -Syu before installing stuff from the AUR. Hence, this package is broken by default.

Author of the currently less broken gtk-3.20 version here. Please consider helping porting this theme, see pull request https://github.com/dirruk1/gnome-breeze/pull/57 As there is no official gtk-3.20 working branch, consider authoring pull request on https://github.com/magnific0/gnome-breeze/tree/gtk320, they will be added to the main pull request.

maces commented on 2016-04-10 16:10 (UTC) (edited on 2016-04-10 16:11 (UTC) by maces)

@Martchues this worked for me. GTK Apps including Firefox are now being displayed correctly. thank you very much.

Martchus commented on 2016-04-09 16:18 (UTC)

There is already a GTK 3.20 compatible version provided by magnific0. https://github.com/magnific0/gnome-breeze/commits/gtk320 Here's a PKGBUILD: https://github.com/Martchus/PKGBUILDs/blob/master/gnome-breeze/git/PKGBUILD dos1, TheNumb: You might consider to add this (maybe as out commented line) because GTK 3.20 is now in the official repositories but the current version doesn't work well with it (see https://github.com/dirruk1/gnome-breeze/issues/56).

gnome / gtk3+ 3.16 and up applications do not follow the color scheme. cheese

sez11a commented on 2015-06-05 17:31 (UTC)

Okay; I just realized that this package is duplicated by https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/gnome-breeze-git. Both use the same GitHub repo; so one of them should go. I'm going to disown this one since there's already a request out there to delete it due to the conflict. Hey, at least I learned how to adopt a package and update it. :-)

sez11a commented on 2015-06-05 17:23 (UTC)

Adopted the package and fixed the issue.

feskyde commented on 2015-06-05 02:21 (UTC)

Moving from Linux to Windows, I going to disown this package, download the PKGBUILD and make the neccesary changes, please ;)

sez11a commented on 2015-06-04 20:33 (UTC)

This doesn't work as installed because of the directory structure (it doesn't show up as an option in the KDE-GTK config). I had to symlink the gtk-2.0 and gtk-3.0 directories into the /usr/share/themes/BreezyGTK directory, and then I could choose this theme. I recommend you install them separately into folders like these: /usr/share/themes/breeze-dark-gtk /usr/share/themes/breeze-gtk

sl1pkn07 commented on 2015-06-04 15:13 (UTC)

need remove BreezyGTK/ in the package() (now install a dark themes for GTK2 and GTK3)
