Initially could not print. I had to install lib32-glibc to get the printer working.

Yes, if you want to make the printer work with your local network, you've to do those steps but this is not the default. I'll pin your comment for others.

Thanks for adding this to the AUR.
To print from my system, I had to add the printer in CUPS as a 'LPD/LPR Host or Printer', and my connection is 'lpd://PRINTER_IP/BINARY_P1' substituting my printer's ip address for PRINTER_IP. Hope this helps someone else.
