@funilrys Never mind, I figured out it was because it's not using ncurses by default anymore, so I just updated the config file to use it.

@pelirodri I always test locally before any push to any package I maintain. Can you give us more or report directly to upstream: https://github.com/karlstav/cava/issues ?
@mat: Added :)

I updated it and I can no longer do anything within cava, which is to say I can't quit it, I can't change the colors... no key is doing anything whatsoever.

Missing build dependency on autoconf and automake.

I guess sndio
is also a dependency.

pulseaudio souldn't be a dependency but an optional dependency as cava is design to work well with raw standalone holly ALSA. (cava = Console-based Audio Visualizer for ALSA)

I'm getting the following error when updating either cava or cava-git:
/usr/bin/ld: cava-cava.o: undefined reference to symbol 'LINES'
/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/8.1.0/../../../../lib/./libtinfow.so.5: error adding symbols: DSO missing from command line
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
EDIT: Fixed by installing ncurses-full-git
, but fails on a standard ncurses.

@funilrys Problem wasn't during the aur build, but a runtime error.
$ cava
cava: error while loading shared libraries: libiniparser.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Rebuilding the aur package solved the problem for me, probably because it linked against the newer version of iniparser.
