The PKGBUILD has a minor issue. The package "jg" (https://archlinux.org/packages/community/x86_64/jq/) needs to be a dependency.

got an error on a newly installed Arch Linux

added 32 packages from 21 contributors in 2.71s rmdir: failed to remove 'usr/etc': No such file or directory ==> ERROR: A failure occurred in package(). Aborting... ==> ERROR: Makepkg was unable to build coinmon.
