Thank you vantu5z for the old version! I am not very knowledgeable about flutter. This is my first time using flutter. At first glance it looks to me like a way to port Android apps to PC which seems like a good thing. I currently do not hate it. I do hate java and refuse to have it on my system but so far I do not hate flutter. I do like how it scale. However if I have a choice I prefer to choose QT/GTK version to have more uniformity with the rest of my system so I would not mind if people would continue working on the py version of ConvertAll.

ConvertAll is a simple but very useful utility.

Anyway thank you vantu5z for making this package and thank you patlefort for helping me yesterday. You are both great! :)

Add convertall-py package (old version).

It's been revamped, it's now a flutter app which is a cross-platform toolkit. You could try to compile the old version but it's out of my hands.

OK, right now I am using google binaries and disabled the system wide adblocker (hblock) and I managed to install.

ConvertAll looks COMPLETELY different than before. It used to use either GTK or QT, now it looks like an Android app.

Is there a way to have it the old way? Anyway, thanks for your help. I guess it was the adblocker that was blocking it from downloading.

I live in Canada, connected to Eastlink. Dont think they block anything. I will disable Adblocker just in case and retry.

What do you mean by still try to install flutter? My package will either try to download binaries from google or compile them from source depending on if you use flutter-engine-google-bin or flutter-engine and bundle it with the package, the flutter-engine packages don't contain any binaries. It's downloaded or compiled on demand.

I have no idea why the downloads would fail for you. Does your country or ISP block some addresses?

I installed flutter-engine-google-bin but your package still try to install flutter yet some files cannot be downloaded.

the error I get is:

What's the error? I compile fine in clean container. You don't need to install flutter package, only flutter-engine or one of its providers.

The way it work is it will compile the engine on demand for the version the app need and will be cached in the user's directory. It work this way because different apps need a different version and also because the model flutter use is: devs compile their app with whatever version of the engine they choose and distribute their app bundled with binaries of the engine.

You can use flutter-engine-google-bin if you want to use precompiled binaries of the engine from google.

Hi there, I had Convertall installed for a while but I am having problem updating. There was an error at builth.

I managed to install flutter and flutter-engine manually from the AUR. Why is convertall still try to compile flutter in the yay directory if the latest versions already installed?
