I had to install qt5-quickcontrols as well to be able to run it.

Looks like to get this to build and start, it need to depend on both qt5-quickcontrols AND qt5-quickcontrols2.

In order to get this build, I needed qt5-quickcontrols2 - not qt5-quickcontrols.
However, once built, I wasn't able to get it to run

Hey, the background of the settings is white, and the font is white. I can't read any of the settings. Can you fix this?

This fails to run with qmltermwidget. You need to use qmltermwidget-git instead
