It is indeed explain in the bad.

If anyone else got the problem "can find other, other can't find me"... Make sure to set the url setting in the diaspora.yml file as an url, not as a hostname (like told in the comment above it). Otherwise your host information will be set with "http" even if you set to use only ssl on the next parameter.

Yes, that's normal, you should build/install only one of them as explained in the wiki.

scruffy commented on 2016-08-20 03:16

Is it normal that the git url are the same for diaspora-mysql and diaspora-PostgreSQL ?

When I try to install, I got a conflict with diaspora-mysql and diaspora-PostgreSQL...

So... Is it me that don't understand a core concept here ? :s

Well... I did indeed not understood a core concept... I edited the PKGBUILD file to chose the right one (in my case mysql) and it worked... My bad... Didn't know why I didn't think of it in the first place...

sorry guys

but still... maybe it should be two distinct git with two distinct scripts... because after all... there is 2 aur page...

I had to remove perl-scalar-list-utils

The build of the 'sigar' Gem failed but it did not have an exit code != 0.

ruby-2.1: symbol lookup error: /usr/share/webapps/diaspora/vendor/bundle/ruby/2.1.0/extensions/x86_64-linux/2.1.0/sigar-0.7.3/ undefined symbol: sigar_version_get

After the last pacman -Syu this error message appeared. Any idea how to fix this?

Ruby 2.2 is not officially supported by diaspora* 0.5.x.

graphviz is a make dependency of ruby2.1, you can remove it again after building that package or build it on a different system and install the built package on your server.

Is it possible to reduce the deps in a way that the installation of Mesa/Nvidia libgl or xorg-* isn't needed? You could use the official graphviz pkg for the ruby pkg? Please update to ruby2.2.

hm, i'm not sure i get what you are saying.
all i propose is a little message with a pointer to the valid update instructions (or the instructions itself).

jhass commented on 2015-05-11 13:50

Well, the Arch wiki references the Changelog which contains notes for the necessary changes too, and strictly following the official update guide won't work either for the package.

fordprefect commented on 2015-05-11 13:47

hi jhass,

thanks for the update!
it would be nice if you could add an update notice to the post_update function.
i followed the instruktions in the wiki [0], which differ from these on the official site [1].
the official ones did not work for me, but thankfully the wiki did.
i think this is worth a note.
