The etkey binary is broken, it's a legacy shell script that doesn't run anymore. The requirements for this keygen are the "ntp" package and awk. Also, you have to "touch /var/db/ntp-kod" via root, otherwise the keygen will fail and do some shit you ain't want it to.

I refactored the keygen so it doesn't require a "dialog" binary anymore and just generates a new key without bothering the user too much: https://gist.github.com/cookiengineer/862e986b861b6700cb0cd7d4dcec364b

omfg what is wrong with u people.. where is the rage?

how can u play without sound

this doesent work either https://wiki.libsdl.org/Installation

cuz i get error : can't locate libSDL.so

and btw im wondering why et-sdl-sound is optional when its absolutely needed, is there really anyone who plays without sound? ;/

also i have problem with vsync

i see like every half second it goes from max fps to 60 fps and constantly the same, well i dont know where is setting in game for that or if there any at all

but i tried to put (all at once) in ~/.nvidia-settings-rc

SyncToVBlank=0 and

0/SyncToVBlank=0 and also

__GL_SYNC_TO_VBLANK=0

yet nothing works

EDIT: ok vsync problem no longer true because after nvidia update yesterday (12.08.2018) i have max fps what i specified in config and it doesent drop at all

but sound problem still remains so i cant play

makepkg is running strip on the installed binaries. Although there isn't anything to strip, it still changes a handful of bytes in the file. This changes the checksum of the file, which in turn breaks et-sdl-sound, which uses checksums to map binaries to specific versions of games.

I don't think I should rename it for everyone. You can do it replacing "install -Dm 755 et.sh $pkgdir/usr/bin/et" in the PKGBUILD with "install -Dm 755 et.sh $pkgdir/usr/bin/[your et name here]"

The binary /usr/bin/et seems to conflict with the WPS office binary under the same name. Is it possible to rename it?

@danielrm try installing yaourt and use it instead. pacman does not know anything about AUR pkgbuilds, only the official repos and those configured in pacman.conf

Doesnt find the package. (I am a bit of a noob) >sudo pacman -Syu enemy-territory :: Synchronising package databases... core is up to date extra is up to date community is up to date multilib is up to date error: target not found: enemy-territory

@Spyhawk> I think you're right, in browser it opens normal. If I run makepkg it can't find the source file for some reason.
