For those having issues launching fusion-icon because of a wrong library, libcompizconfig must be recompiled and everything will work.

I just adopted fusion-icon and made it identical to fusion-icon-fixed. Everyone is urged to switch to the original fusion-icon now, as there won't be any further maintenance of fusion-icon-fixed.

I just adopted this package made it identical to fusion-icon-fixed (a patched version that fixes a nasty crash, described in FS34892). Let me know if you have any problems.

I wouldn't remove this pkg just because compiz is not in community anymore, some of us still use it. I think instead dependencies should be updated to compiz-bzr and most likely compizconfig-python-bzr (although it is orphaned in AUR).

Hi @nous, I think I'll wait a couple of weeks to see if it reappears. In the meantime, I put a note about this in the Compiz wiki page: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Compiz#Other

@plp: fusion-icon has disappeared from [community], you might as well remove -fixed. Thanks for the patch btw.

Thank you very much for this. I tend to go over a month without reboot and this really saved me, almost had to jump ship from MATE w/ Compiz to KDE.

This fix works great. Compiz-core is still buggy as ever but at least this works.

This is fusion-icon patched to fix a crash caused by the latest version of glib (2.36): https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/34892 You can use it instead of fusion-icon if you are affected by the bug. Note that I'll delete this package when the bug gets fixed in community.
