I can confirm this doesn't have anything to do with mesa-git, as I've already tried the official mesa package too and the problem remains, even the same warning message about the 'Unrecognized OpenGL version'. When I start the machine directly from virtualbox, I get the following output: http://i.imgur.com/l3mheJJ.png http://i.imgur.com/RkPo7Iz.png

Same issue as @BasT and @longboardtard; but I am using mesa and lib32-mesa (not the git version). Also I tried to remove the libraries and use system ones with LD_PRELOAD='[...]' to boot genymotion: same error. I use xf86-video-ati (radeon) driver. I send additionally a ticket to the Genymotion support.

I second BasT, I'm having the exact same problem as he is. I also use mesa-git.

Trying to use genymotion for the first time. Starting the program I get: $ genymotion Logging activities to file: /home/seb/.Genymobile/genymotion.log libGL error: unable to load driver: radeonsi_dri.so libGL error: driver pointer missing libGL error: failed to load driver: radeonsi libGL error: unable to load driver: radeonsi_dri.so libGL error: driver pointer missing libGL error: failed to load driver: radeonsi libGL error: unable to load driver: swrast_dri.so libGL error: failed to load driver: swrast The program starts, but when I try to load a guest system the program freezes at "Starting virtual device..." Log doesn't contain any errors. However: [Genymotion Player] [Warning] Unrecognized OpenGL version Is this a conflict between the program's and system libraries? I'm using the mesa-git driver. Edit: $ LIBGL_DEBUG=verbose genymotion Logging activities to file: /home/seb/.Genymobile/genymotion.log libGL: Can't open configuration file /home/seb/.drirc: No such file or directory. libGL: pci id for fd 17: 1002:683d, driver radeonsi libGL: OpenDriver: trying /usr/lib/xorg/modules/dri/tls/radeonsi_dri.so libGL: OpenDriver: trying /usr/lib/xorg/modules/dri/radeonsi_dri.so libGL: dlopen /usr/lib/xorg/modules/dri/radeonsi_dri.so failed (/usr/lib/xorg/modules/dri/radeonsi_dri.so: undefined symbol: drmFreeDevice) libGL error: unable to load driver: radeonsi_dri.so libGL error: driver pointer missing libGL error: failed to load driver: radeonsi libGL: pci id for fd 17: 1002:683d, driver radeonsi libGL: OpenDriver: trying /usr/lib/xorg/modules/dri/tls/radeonsi_dri.so libGL: OpenDriver: trying /usr/lib/xorg/modules/dri/radeonsi_dri.so libGL: dlopen /usr/lib/xorg/modules/dri/radeonsi_dri.so failed (/usr/lib/xorg/modules/dri/radeonsi_dri.so: undefined symbol: drmFreeDevice) libGL error: unable to load driver: radeonsi_dri.so libGL error: driver pointer missing libGL error: failed to load driver: radeonsi libGL: OpenDriver: trying /usr/lib/xorg/modules/dri/tls/swrast_dri.so libGL: OpenDriver: trying /usr/lib/xorg/modules/dri/swrast_dri.so libGL: dlopen /usr/lib/xorg/modules/dri/swrast_dri.so failed (/usr/lib/xorg/modules/dri/swrast_dri.so: undefined symbol: drmFreeDevice) libGL error: unable to load driver: swrast_dri.so libGL error: failed to load driver: swrast

Same issue here. I have a few guests and none of them appear to have sound working after updating.

Anyone else finding that audio isn't working in the guest after updating to virtual box 5.1?

@boteium @PLum @Geequlim @rusty This problem can also be fixed by using system fontconfig, harfbuzz and xkbcommon. Just rm libfontconfig.so.1 libharfbuzz.so.0 and libxkbcommon.so.0 in /opt/genymotion and install required packages using pacman. It will work.

boteium commented on 2016-07-04 18:15 (UTC)

The problem can be fix by either downgradinig pango to 1.36.8 , or extracting old version of pango and use LD_LIBRARY_PATH to launch genymotion.
