@techwiz24 well that's weird. I didn't installed that dependency and I do have a tray icon. That's why I said it should be optional. At least in the description of that package it mentions it has to do with the unity menu bar.

@ilusi0n: If you don't install that package, you won't get a tray icon. I didn't make it an optional dependency since that is one of listed features of the application.

am I missing something or libappindicator-gtk2 should be optional? At least I upgrade the app without installing that.

This shouldn't conflict skype. Some people may want both installed side by side.

Waiting for a release to be cut that includes https://github.com/stanfieldr/ghetto-skype/commit/85595aa44880330e0b8f3ea4c8384a44a4307483 and https://github.com/stanfieldr/ghetto-skype/commit/fc9ec602aeaf73ff4a1e469b039ab471ed75dcf5 which make it much easier to package for the AUR. @ilusi0n: Since this doesn't provide the full skype functionality, and doesn't serve as a drop-in replacement for other applications as "skype" proper, and doesn't care if skype proper is installed, it probably shouldn't provide or conflict skype. I'll get that fixed when the next release is cut.

So the layout of the project has changed a bit, and decoupling it from a built-in electron is a bit more involved. I'll try to get an updated version out as soon as I can.
