I have just done a fresh install (I was wondering if my configuration was messing things up). I can now build the PKGBUILD correctly with makepkg. However yaourt fails with the same error that I was getting before: ==> Making package: gnome-shell-extension-dash-to-dock v44-1 (Sat 9 May 07:58:30 BST 2015) ==> Checking runtime dependencies... ==> Checking buildtime dependencies... ==> Retrieving sources... -> Downloading gnome-shell-extension-dash-to-dock... % Total % Received % Xferd Average Speed Time Time Time Current Dload Upload Total Spent Left Speed 100 147 0 147 0 0 305 0 --:--:-- --:--:-- --:--:-- 305 100 201k 0 201k 0 0 153k 0 --:--:-- 0:00:01 --:--:-- 615k ==> Validating source files with md5sums... gnome-shell-extension-dash-to-dock ... NOT FOUND ==> ERROR: One or more files did not pass the validity check! ==> ERROR: Makepkg was unable to build gnome-shell-extension-dash-to-dock. If I edit the PKGBUILD when installing with yaourt and change the source line to 'source=("$pkgname.tar.gz::https://git... it then builds correctly.

Please give the exact error message when reporting issues. I have no trouble building the package as is.

This package fails to build on any of three Arch systems, I have no issues with building any other AUR packages I have installed. On further digging it appears that makepkg doesn't like it when 'gnome-shell-extension-dash-to-dock::' is in the source line. If I change the line to 'source=("$pkgname.tar.gz::https://github.com/micheleg/dash-to-dock/archive/extensions.gnome.org-$pkgver.tar.gz")' it builds the package just fine.

I am not able to reproduce the issue. Is anyone else having issues wiht MD5 checksums?

Makepkg claims the downloaded file fails validation even though the MD5 in the PKGBUILD is correct. Removing '$pkgname::' from the 'source=(' line fixes the issue.

Can you please update this to version 40 (still for Gnome 3.14)? Can probably up to v42 once Gnome 3.16 hits the stable Arch repos.
