I will not update (for now) to the latest version 7.3.6.9326 because it crashes continuously for me.

Thanks, unfortunate timing then.

For reference, with Gnome shell / wayland I need to

unset QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME
unset QT_QPA_PLATFORM

to avoid

Google Earth has caught signal 6.

@iyanmv The new version works. Thanks!

@totalsecond please let me know if this new versions works fine with your CPU. I have removed the temporal workaround hoping that Google fixed already the issue with the libsgutil.so compilation. But I cannot test it on my computer.

@iyanmv Patched version works! The CPU it wasn't previously working on is an old AMD 1065T. Thank you!

@totalsecond: can you check if last version works for you. It's a temporal solution. You can see more details in the link that I shared with you before. Probably it will be properly fix in next version.

@totalsecond: what CPU do you have? It looks like last version was compiled in a way that doesn't work with "old" CPUs. There is nothing I can do from my part except recommend you to downgrade to a previous version (e.g. 7.3.3.7699) and keep an eye to this: https://support.google.com/earth/thread/48368936?hl=en

Can't get it to start. /usr/bin/google-earth-pro: line 21: 7162 Illegal instruction (core dumped) LC_NUMERIC=en_US.UTF-8 "$(dirname "$(readlink -f "$0")")/googleearth-bin" "$@"

Okay..?

The request link works for everyone only in official packages, in the AUR it is only visible to the maintainer(s). The request is a merge-request to GEpro to transfer votes. The "update" was indeed stupid, but hopefully does not much harm on a soon-to-be-gone package…

Well there's the merge request (2nd June): https://lists.archlinux.org/pipermail/aur-requests/2020-June/040927.html

For some reason TheCynicalTeam "updated" the package to the google-earth-pro PKGBUILD. Idk why the red "pending request" links don't work anymore.
