Solved problem with NVidia GeForce 9600: blank (black) main window, otherwise seemed to work.
Installed lib32-nvidia-utils (replacing lib32-libgl). Similar lib32-xxxx for other video brands are listed in optdepends. Sorry if this is obvious to everyone - got the idea from http://forums.debian.net/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=54394

The md5sum check fails when building the package with makepkg -s. Is this expected?

Confirming problem that Dragetz mentions. My google earth with intel graphics locks xserver when zooming in to the surface. Downgrading packages works as mentioned as well.
