Thanks, unfortunate timing then.

For reference, with Gnome shell / wayland I need to

unset QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME
unset QT_QPA_PLATFORM

to avoid

Google Earth has caught signal 6.

It is because those optdeps also include (lib32-)nvidia-utils.

Solved problem with NVidia GeForce 9600: blank (black) main window, otherwise seemed to work. Installed lib32-nvidia-utils (replacing lib32-libgl). Similar lib32-xxxx for other video brands are listed in optdepends. Sorry if this is obvious to everyone - got the idea from http://forums.debian.net/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=54394

The software itself was. The URLs just never change.

It looks like the md5sum was updated. Thanks, I appreciate it :)

@Det: Many thanks to you for maintaining this package, I do appreciate it =)

I've had this package for months (maybe even a year now) _without problems_

Come on man, I'm trying my best here.

The md5sum check fails when building the package with makepkg -s. Is this expected? ==> Validating source files with md5sums... google-earth-stable-6.2.1.6014-amd64.deb ... FAILED license.html ... Passed google-earth-mimetypes.xml ... Passed ==> ERROR: One or more files did not pass the validity check! ==> ERROR: Makepkg was unable to build google-earth.

Confirming problem that Dragetz mentions. My google earth with intel graphics locks xserver when zooming in to the surface. Downgrading packages works as mentioned as well.

I think you do.
