Awesome, I found out the missing dep, it's libgnomeui or lib32-libgnomeui (64bit). I'll add it right away, but I still can't maintain or test this due to lack of an environment.

I think the GTK theme issue can be fixed with gtk-engine-murrine (32bit) lib32-gtk-engine-murrine (64bit) installed. My Arch install blew up, so I can't test this :(

Well, you can ask upstream or the forums for help, but it's definitely an issue with QT, most likely a regression of some sort. I haven't looked into all that much myself because I don't care all that much about a little prettiness issue. Although I did find out that Ubuntu has a similar issue only affecting 64 bit, which maybe the same issue but I don't have a 32 arch install to test. It was temporarily fixed by downgrading some sort of 32 bit library that I'm unfamiliar with. Here's some more info on that: http://getsatisfaction.guitar-pro.com/arobas_music/topics/after_ubuntu_11_04_upgrade_i_cant_open_gp6

Yes, I just have changed "GUI Style" from GTK+ to cleanlooks, and Guitar Pro now works fine. But cleanlooks doesn't look nice in GNOME 3, so I have to switch to TuxGuitar again...

I think you have an issue with your QT settings. You can try running "qtconfig" and change the GUI style to something else. I use gnome and "cleanlooks" seems to run the best without issue. GTK+ and the default causes crashing with certain qt dialogs for me. I'm pretty sure this issue has been reported upstream but I think they're having issues fixing it.

After start, GP crashes with the following text in terminal: QGtkStyle was unable to detect the current GTK+ theme. QTextStream: No device QTextStream: No device QTextStream: No device QTextStream: No device QTextStream: No device QTextStream: No device /opt/GuitarPro6/gp-launcher.sh: line 6: 18811 Segmentation fault ./GuitarPro "$1" Doesn't look nice...

Added a download link that should work. Makes life easier ;) Due to the size of the download, I can compile the packages and make a repo, if anyone wants me to.

Updated! Supports i686 and x86_64! To install just download the deb (linux version) from Guitar Pro's website and place it in the same folder as the PKGBUILD

V0idExp PKGBUILD updated here : http://pastebin.com/f7J97x86 maybe the download link is temporary so you may have to go on the GP website and update the PKGBUILD
