I will try it on my raspberry pi2, and if all runs well i will make the adjustments.

Please add 'armv7h' as a platorm. This works fine on my Raspberry Pi2. Thanks.

For those having problem compiling but not having problem with using binaries I set up another package: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/hstr-bin.

Please use the package https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/hstr-git instead as it is mentioned by the author and basically the same as this one. I don't know how to delete a package, so I will just disown this.

I had to add the following two lines to the PKGBUILD, in the build function just before make is called: sed -i -e "s#<ncursesw/curses.h>#<curses.h>#g" src/include/hstr_curses.h sed -i -e "s#<ncursesw/curses.h>#<curses.h>#g" src/hstr.c I guess this should probably be reported upstream though?

This is out of date now. 1.14 was released in October, which can be found here: https://github.com/dvorka/hstr/releases/download/1.14/hh-1.14-src.tgz Changes since 1.12: Keyboard Search and Improved Highlighting New release brings keyboard based search i.e. matching of history entries by occurrence of words in arbitrary order. In addition highlighting of matching segments in history entries has been improved. Transparent terminal and Internationalization New release brings support for transparent terminals. I also finally solved internationalization problems - use of Czech, German, Chinese, ... special characters w/ and w/o diacritics should be smooth. Enjoy!

@jamsean Thanks for the tips, I've updated my PKGBUILD accordingly.

Also, the pwd at the start of each PKGBUILD function is already $srcdir so the cd commands at the top of build() and package() can be respectively simplified to: "cd hstr/dist" and "cd hstr".

This package should include conflicts entry with the AUR package, hh, since they both install /usr/bin/hh and /usr/share/man/man1/hh.1.gz. Also, PKGBUILD guidelines recommend that pkgver be "1.12.r12.g5aaed1b" as in the format RELEASE.rNUM.gHASH, where: RELEASE is the last (un-)annotated tag, NUM is the number of commits between RELEASE and HEAD, and HASH is the abbreviated SHA-1 value of HEAD. The ArchWiki page includes template pkgver() functions that output in this format: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/VCS_PKGBUILD_Guidelines#Git
