If you cannot build because of a missing tar ball or a failed sha256 checksum validation, then the package is most likely outdated and they have removed the old version already. In this case, please click on “Flag package out-of-date”.

Found a fix for "authentication service could not be contacted"

Edit the config file under /home/username/.ICAClient\WFClient.ini and add a new line SSLCiphers=ALL save file and run "killall AuthManagerDaemon ServiceRecord selfservice storebrowse"

Relaunch Citrix and you should be fine

Used downgrade per emild comment on gdk-pixbuf2 then ran makepkg -sif and reinstalled and it's working! Thanks.

I also removed the dropped packages like @johnnybash
Citrix still works from my quick test, I do have the newer versions of all those packages installed (gtk3/gtk4, libidn, libjpeg-turbo, libpng)

johnnybash commented on 2025-10-28 19:57 (UTC)

apparently still works without the recently dropped packages: gtk2 libidn11 libjpeg6-turbo libpng12

I had to install the icaclient today and new version 25.08.0.88 just been released today.

Had to modify PKGBUILD to install the package :

pkgver=25.08.0.88

sha256sums_x86_64=('79ab907fc28866589b1af0ef826a2ec0bf5c1c6651cd1629379520868e3cdda6')

and had to comment this line because i got an error :

rm "${pkgdir}$ICAROOT/lib/UIDialogLibWebKit.so"

@emild THANK YOU!!! I didn't find gdk-pixbuf2-2.42 in my /var/cache/pacman/pkg so I gave gdk-pixbuf2-noglycin a try instead of gdk-pixbuf2. And it works!!! It's all very cryptic for me... ;-)

Thank you again for the hint!

Add-on: After switching to gdk-pixbuf2-noglycin I got some new problems with strange/nondisplaying Icons in the Packagemanager... Well... :

sudo pacman -S --overwrite '*' libpng librsvg cairo pixman gtk3 hicolor-icon-theme shared-mime-info adwaita-icon-theme libx11

fixed this ;-)

I found the offending package upgrade, or at least a fix for me. It was this:

upgraded gdk-pixbuf2 (2.42.12-2 -> 2.44.3-1)

Downgrading that made citrix work. For me that was:

sudo pacman -U /var/cache/pacman/pkg/gdk-pixbuf2-2.42.12-2-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst

Notice how another package "glycin" was installed at the same time as the offending upgrade of gdk-pixbuf2. I don't understand in depth how the new version of gdk-pixbuf2 interacts with glycin (nor do I want to), but some people complain about firefox and other gtk apps crashing for a similar reason, which led me to a solution.

Same here. Tried downgrading both WebKit packages and no go. "Connecting..." dialog hangs.

@rogueai

Same on my system, both libs webkit2gtk 4.0 and 4.1 are installed.

Tested the new Beta-Version (25.08) of icaclient on Suse: No go (so forget my previous posting, I was wrong sorry).

Rolled webkit2gtk 4.0 back to an earlier Verson (2.48?): No go.

I have no clue any more: icaclient has stopped working on both Rolling releases (Suse Tumbleweed and Manjaro) for me since around Mid September.

@stoffel

I've got both webkit2gtk 4.0 and 4.1 installed in my system, not sure if it's relevant.
