I tried to create a live usb of android-live.iso (drag the iso image to the imagewriter) with imagewriter. But it doesn't support and gave me this message: 'Sorry, I can't write this ISO. You need to use another program to write it to a DVD. '

Now it is ok. By the way not /etc/rc.d/hald start /etc/rc.d/hal start :) Thanks again.

Could you try installing the 'hal' package from the AUR and then running: /etc/rc.d/hald start as root?
