After rebuilding with @shawarden helpful note the app doesn't recognize MX master 2S any more...Any ideas to help? Thanks...

@hensansi The recent update switched python from 3.10.x to 3.11 so input-remapper needs to be rebuilt. I ended up stripping out any old python 3.10 stuff, because apparently you're not allowed 2 versions for things that need it:
...and it's working again.

Does anyone knows what causes this? (after upgrade)
Edit: For me uninstalling and installing again didn't work. (Paru)
I had to:
paru -R input-remapper-git
paru -Scc
paru -Sy input-remapper-git

@hrm, try uninstalling and installing the package again. I don't have this problem anymore.

Could it be that this problem keeps occurring every time a new commit is made to the main branch? I don't know what to do in that case. Because I previously had used the version generated by
pkgver()
already (https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/commit/?h=input-remapper-git&id=bd9a2a00fecde8bc0e6c852f90d8f55d63789bbe)hrm commented on 2023-04-20 18:18 (UTC)
Hi! I have the same problem with the package needeing upgrade in an endless loop.
stasadev commented on 2023-03-25 12:09 (UTC)
Hi, you shouldn't name
pkgver
like2.0.0.rc
, because that is always replaced bypkgver()
function. Right now I installed the latest commit9e04df7
and the version looks like2.0.0.r0.g9e04df79-1
, but when I run the update again, it tells me there is a new version2.0.0.rc-2
. It's an endless update loop. Please update it to this valuepkgver=2.0.0.r0.g9e04df79
. And in the future, if you want to bump it, just use the value generated by thepkgver()

Thanks, I fixed those issues

The package does not appear to build 2.0.0.rc-1, but
