@acidrain42. This is fixed in v5.10.1 :)

I get an error "A libcurl function was given a bad argument (68 MAXREDIRS)" with curl / libcurl-compat 7.56.1-1. Downgrading to 7.56.0-1 fixes the problem.

Hi, insomnia requires gconf as a dependency. /opt/Insomnia/insomnia.bin: error while loading shared libraries: libgconf-2.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Just commenting to let you know I got an update prompt and it updated my Insomnia and now it's working. No more blank screen. :) Many thanks to the maintainers.

Hello everyone, @gschier and I, we fixed the issue with the blank screen. Please tell us if you still have the problem.

@welkie If you use a DE like gnome you can find a .desktop file for insomnia and execute it using the workaround Script reference: http://askubuntu.com/questions/5172/running-a-desktop-file-in-the-terminal $ pacman -S libcurl-compat $ cd /usr/share/applications $ LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libcurl.so.3 `grep '^Exec' insomnia.desktop | tail -1 | sed 's/^Exec=//' | sed 's/%.//' | sed 's/^"//g' | sed 's/" *$//g'` &

Just commenting to confirm I'm also having the issue with the blank white screen when starting Insomnia. When I try to workaround in ethereal's comment, I'm able to install the library, but when I try to start Insomnia, I get "bash: insomnia: command not found".

It looks like Gitkraken had a similar issue. Here is the temporary workaround they provided: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/gitkraken/?comments=all#comment-584062 $ pacman -S libcurl-compat $ LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libcurl.so.3 insomnia Can you try that for now while I work on a better solution?
