I updated the sources. "But" my scanner still works, both on i686 and x86_64. Here's what I did: I removed this plugin, iscan-data and iscan, updated iscan and iscan-data, and finally reinstalled this plugin.

Gah, that's great. >:( Need to investigate this when I get home. It appears there are still some downloads available at Epsons website: http://download.ebz.epson.net/dsc/search/01/search/?OSC=LX

...But unfortunately my scanner no longer works under Linux. scanimage -L reports device `epkowa:interpreter:002:009' is a Epson (unknown model) flatbed scanner which is not very good. Anyone else using this plugin?

The download link no longer works as Avasys is not providing download for Epson drivers any more. Also check the iscan and iscan-data packages. There is a typo in the PKGBUILD: it should cd to $srcdir instead of $startdir.
