Please allow me at least 24h to build the new package! :)

On boot, I get some udev warnings in journal:

Apr 23 00:19:16 c3po systemd-udevd[689]: /usr/lib/udev/rules.d/99-jlink-cmsis-dap.rules:12 Unknown group 'plugdev', ignoring

AFAIK the plugdev-group is someting from Debian and not relevant for Arch. See https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/68533 for example.

Can we patch this group from the udev file?

Did you try to Google "aur install older version"? That should do it :-)

Hi to all. How can I install old version of app like 6.10?

@taotieren: PLEASE READ THE PINED MESSAGE BEFORE FLAGGING THE PACKAGE AS OUT-OF-DATE. Thanx…

@fermentedfly: thanx, this is fixed in the new release. Sorry to not having fixed it sooner, I was ill…

Hi, there is a minor bug in JLinkSWOViewer.desktop, the exec points to the command line application (JLinkSWOViewer), I think the target should be JLinkSWOViewerExe. Cheers.

I'm not sure to undertand the question correctly (English is not my first language), but as soon as Segger sends a mail to announce a new version, I publish a new package.

Jlink updates are frequent, Segger is working hard to improve their probes continuously. So are the package releases :)

Corship commented on 2022-12-30 12:04 (UTC)

Hey, thanks for packaging this useful tool.

However I wondered why it is updated as often as it is? I don't assume Segger publishes a new version this frequent do they? My apologies if this question is redundant. A hint is highly appreciated.

Cheers.

Effectively chaotic-aur doesn't seem to take epoch into account correctly, which makes the tuple (epoch, rel) non-transitive:

  • 7.82 is older than 7.82b

  • 7.82b is older than 7.82c

  • but 7.82 is newer than 7.82c (!!!)

I reset epoch to 0, to test the behaviour with regular yay, it seems to work. I'm waiting for chaotic-aur to build the package. If it succeeds, let's keep it that way.

I'm using yay-git. And the chaotic-aur feed is enabled. Jlink compiled packages are also available in chaotic-aur. It saves the process of downloading, decompressing and repackaging.
