There is a missing build dependency : npm

Yup. I ran `pacaur -S keybase-git`. I am running a custom kernel, but I doubt that would be a problem: ➜ ~ uname -a Linux donata 4.8.12-1-nvme #1 SMP PREEMPT Sat Dec 3 19:01:29 CET 2016 x86_64 GNU/Linux Maybe that was a temporary hiccup. I have successfully installed your other package keybase-bin. So that will do for now. :)

@02m: `pacaur -S keybase-git` just succeeded for me. Is that the command you ran? Could you give me your `uname -a` please? Any special pacaur configs I should try?

Install fails with following error: rsync: change_dir "/home/martynas/.cache/pacaur/keybase-git/src/client/desktop//release/linux-ia32/Keybase-linux-ia32" failed: No such file or directory (2) rsync error: some files/attrs were not transferred (see previous errors) (code 23) at main.c(1178) [sender=3.1.2]

@papabean fixed, thanks.

Looks like the build script now needs yarn, which is available in the AUR. This needs to be added to the PKGBUILD.

@02m, libicui18n.so is in the icu package, which is a dependency of nodejs. Have you uninstalled it somehow? Or are you running nodejs from some place other than the official package? Does `node` work for you at all?

02m commented on 2016-12-07 09:24 (UTC)

Getting the following error while installing: Installing Node modules for Electron node: error while loading shared libraries: libicui18n.so.58: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory ==> ERROR: A failure occurred in build(). Aborting... :: failed to build keybase-git package(s)

@chungy @kseistrup, I've just created the keybase-bin package. Please give it a try.

One could download one of the binary packages mentioned on https://keybase.io/docs/the_app/install_linux, e.g. https://prerelease.keybase.io/keybase_amd64.deb, unpack the .deb with “ar x” and then use the binaries inside on Arch. In that case, the AUR name should probably be keybase-prerelease-bin, or similar.
