Hi daredemo,

As mentioned in my first comment, in order to install the package, you need to download the necessary files yourself (link provided). The reason is that NI does not let you download the files unless you are logged in with your account.

It seems there are some dead links in the package build: curl: (3) URL using bad/illegal format or missing URL file://labview-2017-appbuild-17.0.0-1.x86_64.rpm

Hi Folkert,

AFAIR, there is no DAQmx included in this package, so you should be okay like this. There is realtime support, but I guess you could edit the PKGBUILD to commend the labview-2017-rte-17.0.0-1.x86_64.rpm file and avoid installing it. Not sure if the installation will succeed (maybe it is a pre-requisite somehow of LabVIEW core), but I believe it will work.

Hi Tassos, when installing Labview 2017 can I select packages? I only need the core programming, no DAQmx, Realtime etc. etc. I don't want unnecessary stuff on my HDD as LV 2017 has become quite large compared to the past versions. Kind regards, Folkert

Unfortunately, the RPMs cannot be downloaded directly from NI website, since you need to login with your account first. But the files are available for download for free from this link:
