Please add python2-gobject to the Dependencies. In my case installing that also pulled in: gobject-introspection-runtime pygobject-devel

Try the ubuntu-mate live image and copy the layouts from /usr/share/mate-panel/layouts ;)

when installed it has no predefined panel layouts. is this a separate AUR package?

The upstream source repository has changed locations. The package works for me if I replace "flexiondotorg" with "ubuntu-mate".

Thanks, it works now. Btw, would be good to add wmctrl to the list of dependencies. I couldn't run mate-tweak without installing it.
