There are now two issues here.

  1. The tray icon doesn't work. But when I extract the appimage and run directly, the tray icon shows up. I have no idea how to fix this.

  2. This package is built with !strip option, otherwise it won't work.

I can install it successfully on Manjaro. But when I try to capture a formula, the screen turns into fully black, anyone knows what's going on?

@marc That is not the package's problem. Mathpix needs system tray to show app icon, so you need to use a desktop environment with the tray. (If you are using Gnome, just install TopIcons extension.)

It doesn't work on my different computers. Installation went smoothly but when I run mathpix-snipping-tool I have the following meassage in a dialog box: "Couldn't detect system tray on this system".
