GPG key changed with 4.8.0 release!

You need to import the public key before installing:
gpg --recv-keys F529A27008477483777FC23D63BB30D0E5D2C749

For versions before 4.8.0 you need the old key:
gpg --recv-keys 814E346FA01A20DBB04B6807B5DBD5925590A237

Log importer script (piwik/misc/log-analytics/import_logs.py) needs to use python2 on its shebang line.

Updated to 1.10.1 Note: With this version and php 5.4.10 and php-apc 3.1.14, I experience serious segfault issues. Downgrading php-apc solves the problem. I didn't try downgrading piwik however.

@avanc Sorry my mistake. It's now updated.

@jryarch: I believe you can find a lot of articles about running php on apache if you google it. Piwik itself does not need any special configuration other than those stated in the installation guide on piwik.org. Or you can make a post on piwik's forum maybe.

Adopted and updated to Version 1.8.1 The directory is moved to /usr/share/webapps/piwik

Orphaned. I don't have the time to make things work properly (put everything in /usr/share/webapps).

1.7 is out; since it's a non-critical release and I've got no time now, I'll only update it in a few days. I also want to move everything to /usr/share/webapps to conform to what seems a common practice for packaging webapps. I guess the wiki page [1] would need some editing on this point :) [1] https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Web_application_package_guidelines

Probably symlink would work, but it's better to set path to piwik in server configuration. In example lighttpd offers own symlink features.
