You should report your problem on the github page. Maybe the latest fix for 4.0 doesn't work after all.

Still doesn't work. Starting the tests.. It is normal for them to take a bit to finish. Kernel major version is not 3. Tests run: 1 This is the message I get. Probably something wrong with the installation itself

Updated. Does it work ?

Racinas commented on 2015-04-13 02:09 (UTC)

though git was updated this package still cannot detect kernel 4.0 normally

The version number is now correct. See https://github.com/dgraziotin/Fan-Control-Daemon/issues/41.

The service file changed, you need to re-enable it with `systemctl enable mbpfan`. You can remove the /etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/mbpfan.service link.

Here it is. I don't know why, `git describe --long` doesn't pick the 1.7 tag, but it is the 1.7 version. I'm working with upstream to improve the systemd service.

I know, I worked with upstream. I'm updating it right now.

v.1.5 will not work on several models with linux 3.15, i.e. FANS WON'T WORK! see: https://github.com/dgraziotin/Fan-Control-Daemon/issues/38 fixed in version 1.7
